Instead of the elephant patrol, a group can opt to participate in a multi-day trek through the Ugab River and surrounding desert. This is an incredible opportunity to hike through Namibia’s dramatic landscape, including canyons, riverbeds and desert plains, learning map reading and navigation skills. Supported by guides, you will be trekking through elephant terrain, camping under the stars and cooking over the fire. This is a significant personal achievement and one which may also be eligible for certain Awards Programmes.
School groups have the opportunity to raise extra funds to contribute to the renovation and upliftment of local schools living closely with elephants. All of these funds go directly to purchasing equipment and materials used for the renovation that you will be directly involved with. You will see first hand how your money can make a genuine difference in building relationships with communities, supporting local infrastructure development and enhancing school children’s learning experience.
Get in touch for rates that are customised to your experience, depending on timeframe and place of departure. We include everything – so there are no surprises!
