Wildlife & COMMUNITY: Eastern Cape, SOUTH AFRICA
Thank you to Y4C for a fabulous experience in the Eastern Cape. From our first communication I had no doubt that Abbey was in good hands and everything would be done for the kids to have a fun and meaningful experience. We were not disappointed. There was a great balance of Conservation, Research and Community work with a lot of fun thrown in the mix. Abbey learnt telemetry to monitor wildlife, helped with alien bush clearing, planted trees, did a snare sweep, met an anti -poaching team with their dogs, swam in beautiful natural pools, slept under the stars, enjoyed game drives and her highlight was the community work where she loved playing soccer with the kids. This is just to name a few. A wonderful wholesome week, Abbey didn’t want to come home and would love to return.

Being here has felt like taking a long needed nature-shower! I would highly recommend this camp – it has been one of my favourites.

What an amazing opportunity for your people. My 15 yr old son absolutely loved it. He didn’t know what to expect and is not obsessed with wildlife but was keen to do something different and meet new people. I think it totally exceeded his expectations. He loved all the experiences especially going into the local community and meeting the local kids. if you ever do an adult programme, please let me know as I feel us parents missed out!

I really enjoyed being a part of research projects that aimed to help understand, rehabilitate and conserve the reserve. I felt like I was contributing to meaningful projects and that I was being put to use! A fantastic experience that I would highly recommend.

This experience was a lot of fun. I loved learning new things and getting involved. I feel very fulfilled after this and definitely want to return with friends.
