KwaZulu-Natal Wildlife Conservation
A group of 14 students and two teachers embarked on a 10-day wilderness adventure at Somkhanda Game Reserve, which was described by a number of students as “life-changing”!
The group had an opportunity to observe and monitor iconic wildlife species, push themselves on a strenuous bush hike, marvel at the nocturnal sights and sounds at a bush sleep-out and engage with local communities.
Western Cape Marine Programme
One passionate 15-year old contacted Y4C to organise a group to participate in our marine programme. Located from all over South Africa, she found five other marine enthusiasts to join her on this coastal adventure.
From sharks to penguins to seabirds, there was never a dull moment. Our amazing partner on the ground, Marine Dynamics Academy, published this fantastic blog about the whole experience. Read all about it Here
Eastern Cape Wildlife & Ecology Camp
Eight Cape Town youth embarked on a 7-day adventure at our Eastern Cape Wildlife & Ecology Camp.
Situated adjacent to Kariega Game Reserve, this was a fantastic week of exploring the local area with forest walks, bush hikes, river swims and game drives whilst also having the opportunity to engage with local communities.
Namibia Desert Elephants
Two intrepid Y4C volunteers joined other international travellers for two weeks of hands-on work that directly contributed to the needs of both humans and desert-elephant populations in Namibia.
Join us as an individual volunteer or as a school group!
